Case Study

As part of a sales transformation programme for some of the UK’s largest prime contractors, such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin, our goal was to improve their win rates by understanding the underlying issues within their teams. To do this, we integrated TeamLytica with psychometric surveys and cultural assessments. This powerful combination helped us uncover the true dynamics within teams, such as their cohesion, alignment with strategic goals, and the levels of stress that led to dysfunction. These insights revealed why certain teams were underperforming, often pointing to broader operational issues holding them back.

Initially, we faced challenges in implementing TeamLytica, particularly with defence companies, due to their strict IT policies. However, once we demonstrated that the data remained securely in the UK and was compliant with ICO regulations, the platform was quickly adopted. One of the strengths of TeamLytica is its ease of use. The platform provides clear, concise questions, and its output offers an at-a-glance understanding of problem areas and alignment points within teams. We used the platform with multiple teams within the same organisations, allowing us to identify cross-team dynamics and organisational challenges that affected cohesion and performance.

While we have primarily used TeamLytica for benchmarking, root cause analysis, and change roadmaps, the platform also helps us triangulate data from multiple sources—such as psychometric surveys—to confidently identify root causes. This approach also made it easier to convince clients of the existence and nature of the issues, as the evidence was supported by multiple independent methodologies. We often recommend TeamLytica to clients for continued follow-up and reassessments to track their progress.

We are excited about our ongoing discussions with TeamLytica and look forward to collaborating more closely on future projects.
